What out patients have to say..
  • ..lower back hurting

I was tired, tired of waking up every day with my lower back hurting, my shoulders aching, and not being able to do what God has given us his blessings to do. Nothing major, just plain old every day stuff. Cleaning house, riding a recumbent bicycle, enjoying my husband and his retirement and interacting with, loving on and feeling blessed by our lovely grandchildren.

I found Dr. Robin by searching on line for chiropractors. I admit I did not know what a “Back InTo Motion” chiropractic office would entail, but I found a wonderful, caring, Dr. Robin and office staff who indoctrinated me into their system of adjustments and traction services to help me achieve day to day, pain free, life.

It is not a fast process, but a sure way to lead your life without the aches and pains that haunted me for so long. Dr. Robin’s plan of action for your healthy recovery is a sure way to get you “back into motion”.

Now, with the Maintenance Plan offered by Dr. Robin and some exercises I can do at home, I am feeling a lot better. I have to be diligent about my maintenance plan and the at home exercises, but it is soooo worth it.

Thank you Dr. Robin for your knowledge, experience and caring efforts. We, as your patients, are truly blessed through your knowledge of the body and love of what you offer to help people enjoy life, pain free!

  • ...back aches and sciatic episodes

When I first arrived at Back into Motion Chiropractic, I was in very poor shape. I suffered from morning backaches and sciatic episodes. I over-compensated for my back condition so severely in my gait that it began to affect my knees and ankles, creating even greater overall discomfort. I was unable to walk for more than one-quarter of a mile without resting my back and knees. Also, I was completely inflexible from the waist down. I really think that all of this affected me mentally.

Over the years, I have seen many medical doctors for this condition, from neurosurgeons to orthopedic surgeons, and every diagnosis was gloom and doom. They recommended that I stop participating in sports; something that would be very difficult for me to adapt to. Surgery was not a good option at my age, and even if I had surgery, there was a chance that the pain might return in just a few years.

I began to read about chiropractors, and discovered that my condition might be due to a lack of normal nerve function. But like many others, I was skeptical about spinal decompression therapy, so it was my last resort. I know now that kind of thinking only delayed my recovery.

At Back into Motion Chiropractic, I received a comprehensive analysis, a very practical approach to my problem, and also attended wellness classes. Dr. Robin takes a very personal approach to each patient, answering questions carefully and inquiring about your personal health. It is obvious that she cares about each patient’s overall well-being, and takes her work seriously.

Fast forward several months — after many therapy sessions at Dr. Robin’s clinic, I can walk for several miles without any pain and without pausing to rest. I continue to participate in sports, and my morning backache and knee pain have completely vanished.

I feel so fortunate to have found Dr. Robin’s clinic. I am a true convert to her style of care, and would recommend that everyone experiencing symptoms like mine give Dr. Robin and her clinic a chance put you on the road to recovery.

    Thank you,

    John Glover

  • ...car accident injuries

Over eleven years ago I was in a car accident that gave me whiplash in my neck and low back. I received chiropractic treatment for a few years and I seemed good as new so I quit going for monthly maintenance visits. This was a mistake. Last year my back and neck started giving me problems again. I would be in so much pain I couldn’t do day-to-day activities and at least once a month I would be down for two days. I went to my family doctor and he said I was just getting older (I’m 36) and I should slow down. He prescribed many different pain meds and muscle relaxers but I still had the pain and now side effects to go with it. I went to a pain management doctor next where they took MRI’s and x-rays, they said I had a bulging disc & and joint problems. He gave me steroid and cortisone shots to relieve the pain. It worked for about two weeks but with a lot more side effects to deal with. The pain came back with a vengeance. I went to a spinal surgeon because I couldn’t take it anymore. He said I needed surgery right away to replace the disc in my neck. He gave me all the possibilities that could go wrong but I scheduled the surgery anyway because the pain was so bad and I thought there were no other options. While waiting for the surgery I came across an ad about Spinal Decompression and called Dr. Robin for more information. I figured it couldn’t hurt to try it so I cancelled the surgery and started the decompression the following week. I immediately felt a little better and this gave me hope. It has been almost two months since I started treatment and now I don’t take any pain meds. I can walk without limping and being in severe pain and I can even play with my daughter again. Thank you Dr. Robin for giving me my life back!

  •  ...severe back and hip pain

I came to Back Into Motion with severe back and hip pain. I had been without chiropractic treatment for some time and really needed special care. I am very pleased and have improved enormous amount under Dr. Robin’s capable care. One of things I have really appreciated is that she listens to me. When her first choice of a treatment plan was not giving me relief, she was flexible and modified it for my needs. I am now able to say I feel my treatment is a success!!

  • ...headaches

I began treatment with Dr. Robin on April 7, 2008. I suffered with disabling headaches for years. Once I had a headache, all I could do was lie down and try to go to sleep. I was unproductive during these hours and had headaches weekly. After the first few weeks of treatment from Dr. Robin my headaches are minimal to none. I have only taken Tylenol twice since April. I feel so much better and never want the headaches to begin again. Thank You Dr. Robin and Yelitza!

  • Claire Ludwig ...arm and shoulder pain

    Dear Dr. Robin:

I wanted to say “Thank You” for the wonderful care and treatment I have received from you. I walked into your office with my fingers numb in my right hand. The pain down my arm and in my shoulder was severe to unbearable. The pain was affecting my sleep, my work and everyone around me. The smallest task was a chore to complete. The range of motion is my neck was limited and it was difficult to drive. I found changing lanes to be almost impossible.

Today, my overall lifestyle and driving has improved from your treatment. I am pain free and have energy again.

    Thank you,

  • When I was growing up in my teen years, I would get bad headaches and experience burning sensations in the back of my head. They would just happen without warning. As I got into my twenties and thirties, I started to get severe migraines and was still experiencing the burning sensations. Eventually, my shoulders, my neck and my upper back started to hurt to a point where I couldn't even walk very straight. All this years, I never sought medical attention for any of these conditions until I met Dr. Robin. I met her at a health fair in Alvin. I briefly explained to her what I was experiencing. She scheduled an appointment for me to come in and see her. To this day, I'm so thankful that I did. On my first visit, she gave me a thorough examination and took the time to go over the treatment plan that would be best for me. Within two weeks, I was starting to feel better already. As I followed through with the treatment, my migraines became less frequent and the burning sensations also started to gradually diminish. It's been about six months now and I have never felt better. I have not had any pain, migraines or burning sensations like I use to. My posture has improved and even my energy level has increased. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Robin and her staff. Thank you, Dr. Robin, for the exceptional care you have given me and all you have done for my health and well being. You have been a blessing!

  • Dr. Robin

Robyn Walters...herniated disc,When I first arrived at your office, I was having a lot of pain in my lower back with pain radiating into my left leg and had been that way for almost five months thanks to two herniated discs with one of those having an annular tear all of which was further complicated by scoliosis. I had trouble sleeping, walking, and doing the simple things like tying my shoes. It was also hard for me to sit or stand which made my job as a teacher even more difficult. I would go to work and then come home only to lie in bed the rest of the day because the pain was so bad. I have always been an outdoors person and have led a somewhat active lifestyle from playing on various softball teams, competing in 5K’s and bike rides, and even competing in my first triathlon three months prior to this injury. To go from being able to do all of these activities to nothing was very hard for me to deal with.Prior to arriving at Back Into Motion, I had been seen by several doctors including two general physicians, an orthopedic surgeon, and a neurosurgeon. Their suggestions were muscle relaxers, pain killers, steroid packs, physical therapy, back brace, bed rest, steroid injections, and surgery. I tried everything except for the steroid injections and surgery. I had pretty much lost hope in any doctor being able to help me.A friend and coworker told me her story about how you were able to help eliminate her back pain, so after trying physical therapy one last time and not getting any relief from the pain, I decided it was time to give you a call. I did not know what to expect when I first arrived for my appointment, but the friendly smiles and warm welcome put me at ease right away. After thoroughly going over my medical history, taking x-rays, and looking at my MRI results, I was put on the table to have my first decompression therapy, and I loved it. I did not want that first session to end because that was the first time in five months that I had felt any relief from the pain. I actually walked out that day with hope that this form of treatment was going to work. After the third session, I was noticing a difference in the pain level throughout the day. Now, after just ten weeks, I am completely pain free!! I am able to walk over three miles daily and do all of the exercises that have been given to me with no problems at all. I cannot tell you how great that makes me feel. I know I still have a ways to go, but it is great having my life back again!Thank you for everything Dr. Robin and keep playing that awesome Christian music!!
